IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

     1. First, stop Steam if running. Download the Full Install if you do not have Empires 2.0, or download the 2.1 Patch if you do have Empires 2.0 installed.

     2. Install Empires 2.1 and read the manual.

     3. Download and install the Empires 2.12 hotfix. This is required for 2.1 to fix some crashes.

     4. Start Steam. You should see "Empires 2.1" listed in your Installed games list. Double click this to start Empires and begin playing.
