IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

     1. Download and install the Windows/Linux HLDS Update Tool.

     2. Download Half-Life 2 Deathmatch / hl2mp with "hldsupdatetool -command update -game hl2mp".

     3. Download and extract Empires Server Full Install Version 2.1 to the directory Source Dedicated Server is installed, or if you do have 2.0 installed, extract the 2.1 Patch to the same parent directory of your current Empires 2.0 install. The Empires Server zip will automatically extract to an "empires" directory beneath it. Thus, if you're extracting the patch, extract to your current Empires directory's parent directory so that the patch will overwrite your current install.

     4. Start "srcds" how you normally would using "-console -game empires -tickrate 33 +map emp_district402" (note that +map can be used to set any map as the starting map, but you must use this to tell the server to load a map at start).
